Maria Belinda is a first-generation graduate student in the Family Studies and Human Develop Graduate Program (Ph.D.) at The University of Arizona. Her motivation is based on her community involvement and her own experiences with children and families. In addition to bi-cultural factors, and background in the education field where children create resilience and flourish despite their adversities. She intends to utilize her Spanish native language in her research and learn more about the structure of immigrant families.
