The Personal & Family Financial Planning program gives students a solid foundation in financial planning and wealth management, broadens their understanding of ethical and fiduciary responsibilities and fine-tunes their interpersonal skills to ensure fulfilling, long-term relationships with future clients.

Students in the B.S. program complete core financial planning classes and electives designed to increase their understanding of the issues individuals and families face when making important personal and family financial decisions. Additionally, a required financial services industry internship cultivates on-the-job skills.

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards

The University of Arizona Personal & Family Financial Planning curriculum is approved by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Completing either the major or the minor fulfills the requirements to take the Certified Financial Planning licensing exam.
