Hello, current and prospective Wildcat Family! My name is Amye Chaparro and I am genuinely excited to serve the Retailing and Consumer Science program as an Academic Advisor II. I am a University of Arizona alumna with a degree in Psychology. I come to you with 14 years of industry experience in retail, management, customer service, and non-profit work in community outreach.

During my undergraduate career, my Academic Advisor served as a pillar of hope and guidance as I navigated the University system as a first-generation student. They provided vital resources and direction when I needed it most, and I hope to be as much service to you! I truly believe diversity and inclusivity is paramount to the ongoing success of the Retailing and Consumer Science Program. I will make it my personal mission to put you first and educate myself continuously on the issues that surround our community and help to make it a safe and inclusive environment.

With that being said, my door is always open. A little about me, I enjoy a little bit of everything that pushes me outside of my comfort zone. I have dabbled in rock climbing, cycling, and recently took up mountain biking! My proudest achievements have been backpacking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon twice, and traversing down South Kaibab, to the river, and up Bright Angel Trail in one day! My pride and joy is my dog, Rogue. She is adventurous and constantly keeps me on my toes.
