Part-time and paid $14.50 per hour.
Paraprofessionals are student academic advisors that support the academic advising and administrative staff to assist in their efforts to help students successfully transition to the University of Arizona. Paraprofessionals are trained student employees of the University who are committed to protecting the confidentiality of each student while developing strong working relationships with them, the advisors, and university staff. They must be knowledgeable and experienced with academic policies and regulations, dependable in the performance of their specific duties, proactive, supportive of academic advisors, and sensitive to the needs and feelings of their advice-es. They advise a diverse body of students by educating them about academic resources, tools, and experiential learning opportunities, to help students, build academic planning confidence, knowledge about their degree program options, and an action plan to carry out their academic and career goals.
You should be/have:
- -Customer Service Experience.
- -Ability to think critically, problem-solve and makes decisions independently or as a team.
- -Experience using UA web-based forms -Familiarity with UA academic and business policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- -Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- -Effective leadership skills
- -Ability to communicate with diverse student populations effectively and professionally, university personnel, representatives from business, and the community.
- -Ability to effectively prioritize and perform duties, as assigned.
- -Proficiency with Microsoft Office, (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- -Knowledge of university policy and procedures - UAccess Student and Analytics.
