Part-time for Spring 2024 and/or Fall 2024, and unpaid.
Tucson Village Farm (TVF) is a working urban farm built by and for the youth of our community. A program of the Pima County Cooperative Extension and the University of Arizona, TVF is a seed-to-table program designed to reconnect young people to a healthy food system, teach them how to grow and prepare fresh food, and empower them to make healthy life choices.
Play, dig and plant as an educator for our field trip programs! We offer two common core programs "Growing Forward" and "Dig In" that are fun hands-on experiences for both students and our educators. Work with youth K-12 from all across southern Arizona. We aim to educate students about food production, nutrition, natural resource conservation, traditional and vermicomposting, and healthy living habits. You will get to feed chickens, dig with worms, plant, harvest and more! We provide curriculum and training, all you need is a passion for learning.
The Tucson Village Farm is located at 2201 E. Roger Road, about 5 miles from campus. For more information, please contact Elsa Jacobson, 4-H Program Coordinator at elsajacobson@arizona.edu.
