CALES Career Talk: LifeStep

12:30 to 1:30 p.m., Jan. 31, 2024

Join the College of Agriculture, Life & Environmental Sciences (CALES) Career Center for our weekly Career Talks. Each week, you’ll meet a different industry professional and connect with current internship, job, or volunteer opportunities. Complimentary lunch is provided to all students who RSVP and attend in-person!

The psychology clinic has established a community service agency that provides undergraduate life skills training (and mentoring) to school-aged youth. The majority of these youth are from underrepresented groups living in poverty in Tucson and are struggling with a variety of psychological concerns (e.g., depression & anxiety).

As a LifeSTEP (Life Skills Training and Enhancement Program) intern, you would be meeting with your assigned youth about once a week for about 4 hours each time. Activities might include going to the movies, getting an ice cream, going bowling or spending time at a park, etc. (you would be reimbursed for your expenses, including gas).

This event is offered in a hybrid modality, please join us in the Forbes Building (room 202) or via Zoom:
