Through philanthropic efforts and outreach, HDFS Ambassadors educate potential and existing students about the benefits of service in the community, provide for families in need, build relationships among faculty, students, alumni, and community, while developing future service professionals.

Your HDFS Officer team is so excited to see your lovely faces again! As we work to transition back to an in-person class format, we are right here to support and encourage you! While the transition back to "normalcy" is underway, we are hoping to keep you actively engaged in the HDFS program as well as in the Tucson community. Over the past year and a half there have been a lot of struggles, but there has also been a lot of growth. We, as officers, hope to encourage your continuing growth as you work to complete the HDFS program. Do not be afraid to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Hello all of you amazing people! I was born and raised here in Tucson, so that Wildcat pride is running through my veins. I am currently a Senior majoring in Family Studies and Human Development with a Thematic minor focused in Counseling. My career goal is to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or a Disney Princess, whichever comes first!
FSHD Ambassadors Co-Vice President - Sierra Ornelas
My name is Sierra Ornelas, I am majoring in Family Studies and Human Development with a minor in Business Administration. My passion lies in volunteering, trying new things, and going on adventures with my dog Oso. Upon graduation, I plan to continue with my education; eventually earning my PhD to become a Sport and Performance Psychologist. Also, shout out to my mom because she's my best friend.
FSHD Ambassadors Co-Vice President - Alaina Wegner
I am originally from Missouri and am currently a Junior majoring in Family Studies and Human Development with a Thematic minor focused in School Counseling! This is my second year as an FSHD student and ambassador, and my first year on the officer team. I am involved in choir and a cappella at the U of A. I am also a volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters. My goal is to be an elementary school counselor because I am passionate about advocating for students and helping them to grow emotionally and socially.
FSHD Ambassadors Treasurer - Iris Sandoval
Hola! I came from a small town called Aguila, Arizona and I can't believe I am a Senior (who would of thought). Currently I major in Family Studies and Human Development and Spanish with a Thematic Pre-Health minor. I plan to attend medical school and pursue a career as a pediatrician. This will be my second year as a treasurer and I'm so excited to be part of this amazing officer team once again.
FSHD Ambassadors Secretary - Rebecca Summers
Hey guys! My name is Rebecca and I am originally from Las Vegas and am a Senior (so crazy!) studying Family Studies and Human Development with a Thematic minor focusing on Social Work. My biggest career goal is to become a Certified Child Life Specialist, but Grace has been giving me tips on getting the whole princess gig so we'll see. Regardless, I am so passionate about being a children's advocate. I am so excited to be a part of FSHD Ambassadors again this year and am elated to take on the Secretary position!
